Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was France! What is Absolute Monarchy and why was its purpose?

Starting from the Religious Wars that divided France, we will go through the reigns of five Bourbon Kings: Henry IV, Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI. We will explore each one of their personalities and their respective vision.

Let's mingle with the Queens and the famous or infamous royal "favourites": the Marquise de Montespan; Madame de La Pompadour; etc. The glitz and glamour of the palace lifestyle, love affairs, dangerous liaisons, and scandals might be the most visible facet of royal court.

Kingdoms are also built with blood, sweat and tears, wars of thrones, political feuds, family betrayals, assassinations, beheadings.

Yet in the midst of all that, came enlightnment! The age of reason! The voices of Voltaire and Rousseau emerged. A Revolution of ideas was planting its seeds...

From Paris to Versailles, join me on an Online Journey back in time to the making of Absolute Monarchy!

This online journey is perfect for anyone having no prior or little knowledge of the revolution, as well as those who are familiar with the subject and would like to explore it further. All questions are welcome :)
