Albert Khan Japanese Gardens & Museum

こんにちは みなさん! (Hello everyone!) Another wonder in Paris, or more precisely in Boulogne-Billancourt (south-west neighborhing suburb): the Albert Khan Museum and Gardens.

Albert Khan was a very successful banker and philantropist who commissioned forrests and gardens of several types on his estate. My favorite is of course the Japanese gardens!

The man visited Japan several times and even bought a house and tea pavillion there, which were dismantled, shipped and then reassembled in his gardens... Amazing what money can do...

The museum also houses his collection of over 70,000 photos from around the globe which he intended to be the "archives of the planet".

Next time you're in Paris, indulge yourself with an afternoon at the Albert Khan Museum and you will feel like you just opened a door to another continent! すごいですね!(Isn't it great?)
