Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

The history of France is deeply rooted and intertwined with the Catholic religion. Whatever you may believe in or not, churches are great places to visit for their architecture. I personally love the reverberated sounds of a church, chapel, temple, etc.

In Paris, it is a great way to escape from the noise of the city for a few minutes and contemplate the vicissitudes of life! The Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Paris is one of these special places where you will find quiet and who knows, maybe more?

In 1830, the Virgin Mary appeared 🕯there several times to a young sister named Catherine Labouré. It has been a place of pilgrimage ever since, just like Lourdes in the south west of France. If you would like to check it out, it is on Rue du Bac, near the Bon Marché department store. Dilemma: temple for the soul versus temple for shopping!
