Congress of Vienna - Restoration of Bourbon Monarchy

On 9 June 1815, the "Congress of Vienna" came to an end. This event is usually presented as "redistributing the balance of power in Europe". This occults the greatest evidence of how monarchs in Europe viewed the ideas of Liberty and Equality.

From the beginning of French Revolution, they saw a threat to their thrones should their own "subjects" demand the same rights of Equality!

The so-called "Napoleonic wars" are the continuation of the French Revolution wars that were ignited in 1792 when Austria and Prussia threatened the French people by trying to help and maintain Louis XVI on his throne.

During the Congress of Vienna, European monarchs restored the Bourbon monarchy in France by bringing back Louis XVIII, younger brother of the beheaded previous king. They completely ignored 25 years of French history, but ideas of Enlightenment were spreading and the clock was ticking for these monarchs...
