Musée des Arts Décoratifs - Jewelry

Further to my post about the "Musée des Arts Décoratifs", one of the major highlights of that museum is their collection of jewelry, and in particular, from the early 1900's Art Nouveau period.

The Art Nouveau movement manifested itself through all arts: Illustration ; Sculpture ; and Architecture - see my Art Nouveau Architecture tour (subliminal message!) and Jewelry.

René Lalique was a master glass-maker and jewelrer that mastered the art of sculpting and polishing glass and making it look more delicate than crystal. I highly recommend seeing this section of the museum. A must for Art Nouveau lovers! Enjoy!
