“Twin Fountain” on Place Salvatore Allende

This fountain is the twin sister mentioned in my recent post.

The "Place Salvatore Allende" square is very near the Hôtel des Invalides and right by the "La Tour-Maubourg" metro station in the 7th arrondissement (district).

The fountain's design is exactly the same as the other one: water coming out of twelve little lion heads ; basin supported by four winged griffins and four feminine faces adorning the central column.

While the other fountain base is decorated with lots of pink flowers and surrounded by beautiful architecture, this one is surrounded by trees but has a much larger base where the water flows down. And being in the middle of a park, it is sheltered from the traffic noise and you can actually hear the sound of the water.

A hidden little spot where you can sit on a bench and feel refreshed just looking at the fountain and its calming sound. Perfect place to read a book and so relaxing!
