What a delightful human. Thierry is the storyteller of storytellers. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do and it showed. You cannot find a nicer guide than Thierry. He thoroughly knows his French history. There were people in our tour who had taken a few other of Thierry’s tours; that is high praise. The Marais area where the tour takes place is quaint and historical. We walked away with a solid understanding of many of Frances Kings & Queens. Do not hesitate to spend part of your Parisian holiday with this amazing guide.

Thierry organized a wonderful tour! If you like history, then I highly recommend booking this. He walked us through the start of France’s absolute monarchy and all the historical figures involved - many of which had very colorful personalities and stories. He even brought along some accompanying slides on an iPad with additional pictures! All of the kings were connected to the monuments we saw along the way. Thierry is passionate, thoughtful, and entertaining - I highly recommend attending!

This was a fabulous tour!! We all had a blast and Thierry is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and history. I was hoping to attend the other tours he hosted, but my schedule did not allow. Next time I’m in Paris I will definitely attend more of his tours. Don’t hesitate to book!

Fabulous tour guide! If you are looking for a textbook history tour not for you. Thierry makes history come alive and relatable to your average tourist. It’s the fastest 2 1/2 hours I’ve spent in a long time. It was so much fun and although I thought I was good at history, he framed it so I saw the historical figures as people and it really made me appreciate the Paris sights and history of France so much more. Will definitely book future tours with him next time I’m in Paris.

We loved Thierry’s “French Revolution” walk so much that we immediately decided to book another tour with him. This tour was just as wonderful as the first; it took us through areas we weren’t as familiar with, bringing to life the significance of the Kings and Queens of France as well as others that influenced French history. Prior to this tour we had a basic knowledge of French history, but Thierry was able to draw the connection between events and deepen our understanding of this period of French history. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to do the rest of Thierry’s tours!

I love history and so this walking tour with Thierry was right up my alley. Thierry is well informed and well prepared with iPad slides and he answers questions with ease. Even if you have passed through the lovely Place de Vosges before, you will see it anew, understanding more of its history. Thierry’s talk was full of insights into the characters of the kings and queens he discussed as well as pointing out various historical or architectural surprises along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend without reservation.

We really enjoyed learning about some of France's kings and queens and seeing the areas of Paris where they lived. Learned so much and the information was given in a way that I will remember it; definitely piqued my interest to learn more about French history. Wish we had more time in Paris to take other tours from Thierry. Definitely go!

Highly recommend, Thierry's tour was my highlight of Paris. If you are interested in learning the culture and history of a city like me, instead of merely touring through the big sites without knowing the stories that went on in the past centuries, this is the tour to go! Thierry's tour takes you back to the city of Paris hundreds of years ago, and his brilliant story-telling will immerse you in the rich history of the city and insights that few people know of. With the tour, you also get to experience the architecture that you otherwise would not pay much attention to, and appreciate them from new angles. Thierry was also a very thoughtful guide, tailoring to every one of the guests' needs throughout the tour, and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. It was definitely fun and such a good value.

Excellent historian and very personable host! We enjoyed Thierry's walk so very much. He's so knowledgeable and was able to answer my many questions, expanding on each subject giving great detail. He has several walks and my husband and I look forward to attending more of these. We have been to Paris many times. So much came together after meeting this guide. Wish we'd met him years ago. But will definitely look for him and plan it again next time.

This was my second tour with Thierry. I think he has an amazing gift of telling stories in a very vivid way so that you not only learn a lot from his tours, but you also internalize the stories he tells. The visual support of his stories by his notebook is a great idea and helps forming images of the stories he tells in your mind. Thierry´s tour in Le Marais takes you to beautiful places, hidden spots and shows you eye catching architectural buildings. He also presented us aristocratic dramas and scandals which show that he really dug deep in the history books and knows his onions. I highly recommend his tours!

Thierry is very knowledgeable about his subject. He was able to answer our many questions about the royalty of France, but also about other topics that didn't deal with the subject at hand. His manner of storytelling was also very interesting. He seems to really enjoy the subject matter and that comes through in his enthusiastic presentation.

Our second tour with Thierry was just as enjoyable as the last. He really is an amazing guide and you really feel immersed in living history. He also wields a wonderful iPad PowerPoint presentation that really helps you keep all the Louis’ and Henri’s straight! He is funny and speaks many languages with aplomb and he manages the tour so well and keeps the pace quick but not exhausting. We saw so many sights I had never seen and understood them in history. We want to come back and do ALL Thierry’s tours! Thank you again and a La prochaine!!

Thierry was awesome! He was totally great at explaining the background historical relevance. It was a great walk! Even in the cold and the rain he made our time enjoyable. His knowledge is evident in every story.

This was my third tour with Thierry and he never disappoints. History with humor, and you walk away wanting to go read books referenced and learn even more. I'm using his tours I haven't taken as another excuse to go back to Paris as his tours are so good you want to take all of them.
