Brasserie Lipp - Hemingway & Art Nouveau

Brasserie Lipp! A legendary place still offering great food and great service "à la française". I was there with a special person, and we had a great time just like Ernest Hemingway who was a regular there.

For starters we had "Mâche" salad (lamb's lettuce) and "Rémoulade de Céleri" (celeri root) which is very French. As the main dish, we moved on to "Poulet Fermier" - that is delicious genuine free-range chicken and "Steak au poivre" - if you can handle pepper, this is for you.

And of course lots of French fries because it's France! We were so full we could not order dessert... But I know for having been there a few times they are equally good.

As it was at some point, a famous hang-outs of notorious figures, there are a fair amount of tourists, but there are also plenty of locals as well. And if you appreciate Art Nouveau and Art Deco, you will certainly enjoy the decor...
