Gaillon Fountain
The beautiful Gaillon fountain is hidden in the second arrondissement of Paris! Originally built during the reign of Louis XIV in the early 1700's, it was rebuilt and modified a century later by Louis Visconti.
Visconti is another one of these architects who greatly contributed to the beauty of Paris. He is responsible for the Molière fountain, the Saint-Sulpice fountain, and many beautiful mansions in Paris.
The initial fountain only consisted in the two basins. Sculptor Georges Jacquot, added a young Triton riding a dolphin. What a nice setting for the restaurant which actually took the name of the fountain...
