Grande Epicerie at the Bon Marché

I took a photo of this classic Citroen truck recently, it was used as a food display by the entrance of the Grande Epicerie. In the 1950's through 70's, this truck was used by grocers in the countryside. As a kid, I remember vacations in a farm and the grocer would visit us with his Citroën grocery store!

If you are a gourmet, a gourmand, a home chef, or none of the above, you must pay a visit to the Grande Epicerie! You can find just about any ingredients for cooking and yummilicious foods.

They have two locations, one in the 16th Passy area and one at the Bon Marché department store in the 7th arrondissement. Be prepared, it is rather an upscale shop but there's always a price for high quality. And if you're lucky, you'll see the Citroën food truck!
