Joan of Arc Feast
The second Sunday in May is the feast of Joan of Arc. That day commemorates the liberation of Orleans on 8 May 1429 by the French army under her command.
There's a beautiful golden statue of the Maiden on Rue de Rivoli near the Louvre Museum, here is a lesser known one in front of the stunning Saint-Augustin church.
