Palais-Royal
One of Paris' best kept secrets! A place you will not find if you are not looking for it, due to its discreet entryways. But once you are there, you can only marvel at what used to be the “Palais Cardinal”, home of Cardinal Richelieu!
Richelieu was a powerful figure, comparable to a prime minister to King Louis XIII. He greatly contributed in laying the foundation of Absolut Monarchy for the following King Louis XIV to rule with all powers!
The Cardinal's magnificent home now houses the ministry of culture and in the nineteen eighties, the inner court was decorated with a modern work of art: the “columns of Buren”. A great selfie place in Paris!
