"Removal" of Bouquinistes from the Keys of the Seine
The 2024 summer Olympics had positive aspects on Paris with the city landmarks being restored or cleaned up.
Sadly the games also seemed a good excuse for the city hall to take unpopular measures. The famous "Bouquinistes" - book stalls along the banks of the Seine have been a part of the city landscape forever.
For a number of years some these book sellers managed to survive the online competition by selling touristy items like magnets and posters even though originally they are really bookworms and can you about literature.
Sadly, their existence is now in question as the city of Paris started removing many of them that are within the area of the games as supposedly they would block the view and are unsafe... No comments! Supposedly, they are only temporary removed and they should return after the games. If not, things will be clear as to what the city really intended.
