Sir Winston British Pub in Paris

While in Paris, if you are in the mood for something other than French cuisine and wine, you might consider the Sir Winston Pub where you'll find plenty of cocktails, and a mix of British and Indian food.

When it comes to alcohool, my British friends call me a "light weight"! But it's ok, I can take the "compliment"! So instead of liquor, I'd rather go for an Indian Lassi, and I've had many, but the one at Sir Winston is an absolute killer!

The upstairs decor is bright and inspired by British colonial era, while the downstairs "Doris bar" is reminiscent of a speakeasy for the drinking heavy weights!

In case you wonder, Doris refers to the alledged love affair Churchill had with socialite Doris Castlerosse. According to historian Andrew Roberts, there is no solid evidence to that story and Roberts is a master at double checking facts and debunking myths so I’ll go with his version...
