Toraya Pastry Shop in Paris
Another Japanese tea and pastry place recommendation when visiting Paris! Toraya Tea House was established in 1980. That's already over 40 years ago and in a time where restaurants come and go, that is already a sign. According to their website, in Japan, Toraya has been around for some five centuries!
Try their “Dorayaki”, which is a classic Japanese pastry made with two pancakes filled with "Azuki" sweet red bean paste. It will go well with an "Azuki" ice-cream or simply vanilla! They also make beautiful "Namagashi" cakes shaped like flowers which taste as good as they look!
To go with this, you will find the classic French and Japanese beverages, coffee, matcha tea, etc. Toraya is located half way between the Place de la Concorde and Madeleine Church. Enjoy!
